Pazza d’amore per suo marito si sposa giovane e si dedica totalmente a crescere i due figli e ad occuparsi della casa. Manuela è una non-desperate housewive, orgogliosa del suo essere moglie e soddisfatta come mamma. Ma come donna? Dopo essersi persa di vista arriva il momento di spegnere 40 candeline e con loro una svolta, dentro e fuori. Maturata una maggiore consapevolezza di sé stessa, realizza che non sarà un delegato dell’Onu come sognava da adolescente, e scopre che la vera costante nella sua vita è la musica. Manuela canta da sempre, nel coro della parrocchia, sotto la doccia, per cullare i propri bambini e per intrattenere gli amici a cena. In famiglia ci sono altri talenti musicali che coinvolge nel suo progetto: fare musica in una band e cantare in pubblico. Tutti la sostengono. Diventa la voce del gruppo storico locale “Tubi Lungimiranti”, il marito Daniele organizza le serate, con il figlio Giovanni canta nei “Crazy Hearts”. Ed ora si sente realizzata come donna. / Fell in love with her husband she married young and she devoted herself entirely to raising two children and to taking care of the house. Manuela is a non-desperate housewife, proud wife and happy mom. But as a woman? After having lost sight of this comes time to blow out 40 candles and turn her life around. Gained a greater awareness of herself, realised that she would not be the delegate to the ONU, as a teenager she dreamed, and discovered the true constant in her life is music. Manuela always sings in the choir of the church, in the shower, to soothe their children and to entertain friends at dinner. In her family there are other musical talents in who get involved in her projects , such as: making music in a band and singing in public. They are all supportive. She became the voice of the local historical group “Tubi Lungimiranti”, her husband Daniele organizes events and she sings with his son Giovanni in the group “Crazy Hearts”. And now she feels totally fulfilled as a woman.

[column grid=”2″ span=”1″]- nella vita sei… mamma, moglie, cantante e casalinga (ma non disperata)– il tuo motto… lo prendo da sant’Agostino: “ama e fa ciò che vuoi”.
– il tuo colore… il viola come primavera, vita e sole. Come vedete, non sono superstiziosa
– la tua parola chiave… passione.
– cosa ha fatto scattare il cambiamento… mi sono resa conto che mio figlio è un talento musicale, suona il basso, la chitarra elettrica ed acustica, la batteria e il pianoforte. Cantare con lui è una sensazione indescrivibile, la cosa che più mi riempie di gioia è il fatto che lui non si vergogni di me, anzi è fiero di sua mamma!
– cosa o chi ti ha ispirato… due grandi artisti italiani con cui sono cresciuta: Lucio Battisti e Mina. E mica pizza e fichi!
– la goccia che ha fatto traboccare il tuo vaso… ho scelto me stessa, pensando un po’ egoisticamente che la vita è troppo breve per non provare, per non tentare qualcosa di nuovo che possa darti soddisfazioni
– salto nel vuoto o nel materasso… qui non ho dubbi, nel materasso! se fossi un animale sarei un bradipo, però molto più pulito. Sono consapevole dei miei limiti e delle mie possibilità anche se mi sono lanciata scegliendo di esibirmi in pubblico, che è ben diverso dal cantare per i miei amici.
– la crisi, opportunità o minaccia… un’opportunità di sicuro; anche i momenti di crisi più nera sono stati un’occasione per crescere e capire meglio me stessa. Ed ho scoperto di essere una donna caratterialmente molto forte.
– presente e passato: il tuo prima e il tuo adesso… in passato, con i figli piccoli, le mie attenzioni erano rivolte prettamente alla famiglia; ora invece il mio sguardo e le mie forze vanno oltre… sono rivolti a me stessa ma sempre con i piedi ben piantati nella famiglia (mio marito mi segue sempre ed è il mio più grande fan) e negli amici.
– progetti futuri… poter continuare a cantare e perché no, poter recitare, altra mia grande passione che finora non ho realizzato ma come si dice….mai dire mai!

– your motto in life… I have one from St. Augustine: “Love and do what you want.”
– your colour… purple as spring, life and sun. As you can see, I’m not superstitious
– your key word… passion.
– what triggered the change… I realized that my son is a musical talent, playing bass, electric and acoustic guitar, the drums and the piano. Singing with him is an indescribable feeling, the thing that fills me with joy is the fact that he was not ashamed of me, in fact he is proud of his mom!
– what or who inspired you… two great Italian artists that I grew up: Lucio Battisti Mina. And not pizza and figs!
– what was the straw that broke the camel’s back… I chose myself, thinking a little ‘selfish that life is too short not to try, not groped for something new that can give you satisfaction
– jumping into a void or a mattress… here I have no doubt, in the mattress! if I were an animal I would be a sloth, but much cleaner. I am aware of my limitations and my chances even if I throw myself choosing to perform in public, which is very different from singing for my friends
– the crisis: opportunity or threat… opportunity for sure, even the darkest moments of crisis were an opportunity to grow and understand myself better. And discovered to be a woman temperamentally very strong.
– past and present: how things were or how things are… in the past, with young children, my attention was directed purely to the family, but now my eye and my strength beyond … come to me, but always with the same feet firmly planted in the family (my husband always follows and is my biggest fan) and friends.
– future plans… continue to sing and why not, to act, my other great passion that so far I have made but as they say …. never say never! [/column]
Manuela è giusta perché … condivide la sua passione per la musica con famiglia e amici, adora far sorridere e per una buona battuta detta al momento giusto confessa che farebbe di tutto… o quasi. / Manuela is right because… she shares her passion for music with family and friends, loves to make people smile and a good joke at the right time that confesses that would do anything … or nearly so.
