Pop. Un concetto talmente abusato, incompreso, sfruttato che spesso non sappiamo nemmeno più cosa significa realmente. Ognuno poi ha una propria idea di quello che lo è e non lo è. La mia personale idea di Pop fa rima con il lavoro di Patrick O’Leary.
Senza vergognarsi di essere Pop. Anzi, cercando di (ri)valutarlo nel giusto modo. Per questo scelgo il suo lavoro come un esempio valido di quello che l’illustratione, la grafica e il disegno possono essere in grado di comunicare, senza prendersi troppo sul serio oppure senza lasciarsi troppo andare a facili entusiasmi.
Pop. Term is so abused, misunderstood, exploited most often do not even know what it really means. Then everyone has their own idea of what is and is not. My personal idea of Pop is synonymous with the work of Patrick O’Leary. Not ashamed to be Pop. In fact, trying to (re) evaluate it in the right way.
