TRENDWATCHING | Summer 2013

Some -not too serious- advice to keep pace with the trends of this season.
Ninetees Nostalgia? Nirvana and Nintendo? Certainly will not be the symbol of sensuality, it’s Brenda Walsh so much but salopette / dungarees / overall call it whatever you want is the perfect combination of functional, casual and chic as well. Denim, leather, printed fabrics, short or long, fastened or unfastened you can bet it will be one of the highlights of summer 2013.The fashion imposes rules that must be destroyed. Orange and red, blue and black, polka dots and floral prints are the nightmare of all boring fashion victims. This summer combined, mixed, experience. Mix & Match. It was imposed in the spring-summer 2013 by Proenza Schouler and Rodarte  passing  across Fendi and McQueen and proposed again in Diors Resort 2014, the collage of different patterns and textures is one of the trends of the summer season. A kick to the combined! Mixing patterns!
Prada paved the way with influences from the Far East. Asia Empire, not the soy and sushi one,but that of the traditional kimono proposed in a streetstyle trend. Dries Van Noten, Pucci and Hermès. Silk Jackets with flora and fauna prints combined with shorts and tank top. The traditional becomes modern.
Sandals for the summer? Boring! Why don’t you match the most elegant dress that you have in your closet with super color trainers that you wear only in the gym? Better if are customized. This summer abandon the usual gladiator sandals that sadly crippled your legs and free your trainers from the prison of sports workout. Ashish and Watanabe on the catwalk, Miroslava Duma and Julia Sarr-Jamois on the streets. The functional sport that becomes cool and fashion.
