Una gavetta di storie brevi e di autoproduzione è ormai alla base di ogni giovane fumettista deciso a provare la strada autoriale. Così è stato sinora anche per Isaak Friedl, il cui nome teutonico non deve tradire le origini pordenonesi. Una formazione all’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Bologna l’ha portato a costruire un segno personale, a cavallo tra il grottesco, dalle chine grosse, che strizza però l’occhio al realistico.
Si è fatto notare soprattutto sulle pagine di Delebile, una delle più interessanti autoproduzioni del panorama italiano degli ultimi anni, ma proprio in virtù del tratto eclettico, ha partecipato anche a produzioni dal respiro più pop come quelle del Crazy Camper.
Partecipazioni che l’hanno formato alla sfida più difficile: il debutto con una graphic novel. “Sottobosco”, probabile omaggio alle foreste che popolano il paesaggio friulano, è la sua prima opera completa e sarà pubblicata a breve da Tunuè nella nuova collana low cost “Le Ali”. Isaak ci regala anche delle tavole esclusive in anteprima.
