Incomincio ad avere una certa età, o meglio ho sempre avuto un’età maggiore di quella che ho; probabilmente dovevo vivere in un’altra epoca come in “Midnight in Paris” o forse l’aver vissuto in una famiglia con un bagaglio di storie del passato così affascinante che mi ha portato a voler vivere quei tempi. Rimango quindi affascinato a centinaia, se non migliaia, di oggetti del passato, forse sono un hipster e non voglio ammetterlo però, che sia una vecchia macchina da scrivere (ho una Olivetti Lettera 43 sopra il mio letto) od un altro oggetto sento la necessità di saperne la sua storia e di come é proseguito il suo percorso.
Idem per le sedie a dondolo, qui il discorso si fa molto più ampio per marche e tipologie ma é un oggetto di design che ha saputo derivarsi in mille forme in questi decenni come ad esempio la Elephant Rocking Chair di Kristalia, una sedia a dondolo in poliuretano con le gambe in legno (legno di faggio, rovere oppure verniciate in vari colori in tinta con la scocca). Se ci pensate, questo oggetto é la derivazione “adulta” di una culla a dondolo, é un imprinting che ci portiamo dietro fin dalla nascita ed i designers Neuland, con Kristalia, sono riusciti a renderla ancora più affascinante ai miei occhi.
I began to have a certain age, or rather I have always had a greater age than I really have, probably i had to live in another era as in ” Midnight in Paris” or perhaps having lived in a family with a wealth of stories from the past so fascinating that led me to want to live in those times. Then I remain fascinated by the hundreds if not thousands of objects from the past, maybe I’m a hipster and I do not want to admit, however, that it is an old typewriter ( I have an Olivetti Lettera 43 above my bed) or another object I feel the need to learn its history and how it has continued its path . Idem for the rocking chairs, here the question becomes much larger for brands and types but it is an object of design that has been able to be derived in a thousand forms in recent decades such as the Elephant Rocking Chair by Kristalia, a polyurethane rocking chair with wooden legs ( beech, oak or painted in various colors to match the body). If you think about it, this object is an “adult” version of a rocking cradle, is an imprinting that we carry with us from birth and designers Neuland, with Kristalia, they managed to make it even more fascinating to me.
