Ogni cosa ha un suo rituale perfino lo champagne, G.H. Mumm, per esempio, ha realizzato una guida che andasse ad esplorare il mondo della casa vinicola spiegando, attraverso le fantastiche illustrazioni di Noma Bar, come gustare correttamente lo champagne. Quando mi é stato chiesto da parte di Mumm di reinterpretare uno dei loro protocoles é scattata immediatamente l’ansia da prestazione, cosa fare che rendesse quanto un’illustrazione di un mostro sacro come Noma Bar? Ma lo champagne é un momento di condivisione, va celebrato attraverso piccoli e semplici gesti come aprire la bottiglia ed é così che ho fatto. Nella splendida cornice di Palazzo Victoria a Verona vi é un angolo in cui il tempo sembra fermarsi, un luogo in cui il sapore di stare assieme viene accentuato da un camino nella sala grande e da un biliardo che ha molte storie da raccontare. Questa é una di queste e parte tutto da una bottiglia di champagne.
CAPITOLO III – COME STAPPARE LA BOTTIGLIA DI CHAMPAGNE
Saper maneggiare una bottiglia di champagne con disinvoltura è un gran cosa, ma una volta che si è in grado di scegliere la bottiglia perfetta e la si è fatta raffreddare, occorre aprirla. Con destrezza, ben inteso! Senza creare troppa schiuma o rompere il tappo (che preferibilmente non deve finire nell’occhio della vostra dolce metà né tantomeno del capo), creando un impercettibile ed elegante sibilo.

Each thing has its own ritual even champagne, GH Mumm, for example, has created a guide that was going to explore the world of the winery explaining, through the fantastic illustrations by Noma Bar, how to properly taste the champagne. When I was asked by Mumm to reinterpret one of them protocoles i was taken by anxiety, what would i do that would make as an illustration of Noma Bar? But the champagne is a time for sharing, it should be celebrated through small and simple gestures like opening the bottle and it’s how I did it. In the splendid Palazzo Victoria in Verona there is a place where time seems to stop, a place where the flavor of being together is accentuated by a fireplace in the great room and a pool table that has many stories to tell. This is on of them and it starts with a bottle of champagne.
