Ci sono autori che li vedi una prima volta e dici: questo diventa un mostro. Così mi è successo con Nicolò Pellizzon quando ho letto le sue prime storie brevi pubblicate su Shinigami, Teiera e altre riviste. Segno espressivo, sporco al punto giusto, cupo, bianchi e neri potenti, riferimenti all’iconografia medievale, colorazione pop… Insomma, c’erano tutti gli ingredienti perchè diventasse un big. Evidentemente, non lo pensava soltanto l’amico Alberto Corradi che mi suggerì di darci un’occhiata. Perchè nel giro di un anno, la Grrrzetic l’ha messo sotto contratto per produrre la sua prima graphic novel: “Lezioni di Anatomia“.
Inutile dire che l’opera prima è diventata subito un bestseller. Un libro a fumetti degno del romanzo ottocentesco, cosparso si riferimenti all’esoterismo, all’alchimia, che si declina non soltanto nell’intreccio amoroso e “anatomico” tra i protagonisti, ma anche e soprattutto nei contenuti aggiuntivi e i particolari che Pellizzon semina in continuazione. Una potenza narrativa ed espressiva davvero invidiabile che trova conferma anche nella sua ultima pubblicazione. “Before the Wolves“, una sorta di pamphlet a fumetti autoprodotto dove il nero e l’arancione contrastano, a regalare altre immagini evocative. Uno spin-off di “Lezioni di Anatomia”? Forse, forse no. Di sicuro un oggetto che vale la pena possedere. Anche soltanto per la copertina che si apre diventando un poster a più livelli di narrazione.
È nata una stella? Il premio Boscarato all’ultimo TCBF è senza dubbio un segnale, ma di più ancora lo è il contratto con la Bao Publishing per il prossimo libro del quale è appena stata presentata la copertina e per il quale, qui su Bobos, vi presentiamo in anteprima due tavole (una proprio qui sotto). A settembre dunque il veronese Pellizzon è atteso alla sfida più difficile: confermarsi. Ma abbiamo pochi dubbi in proposito.

Because, in a metter of time it was selected by Grrrzetic, giving him a contract to produce his first graphic novel, “Anatomy Lessons.” Needless to say that the first work became immediately a bestseller.A comic book worthy of the nineteenth-century novel, sprinkled with references to esotericism, alchemy, which declines not only in the intertwining of love and “anatomical” between the protagonists, but also in add-on content and details that Pellizzon continuously sowing. A truly unique and expressive narrative power which is also confirmed in its latest publication. “Before the Wolves”, a kind of self-produced pamphlet comics where the black and orange contrasted, to give other evocative images. A spin-off of “Anatomy Lessons”? Maybe, maybe not. Surely an object that is worth owning. Even just for the cover that opens becoming a poster at multiple levels of narration. A star is born? The Boscarato award during the last TCBF is undoubtedly a sign, but most of it is still a contract with Bao Publishing for the next book which has just been presented with the cover and for which, here on Bobos, we present a preview of two tables (one just below). In September, therefore, the Veronese Pellizzon is expected to a more difficult challenge: confirm itself. But we have no doubt about his success.
