Se qualcuno, particolarmente amante della movida condita da una buona dose di tradizione, si dovesse chiedere quando visitare Barcellona, non ci sarebbero dubbi sulla risposta: a Settembre durante la festa della Mercé. Festa tradizionale dal 1871, in quest’ultima edizione ha visto sviluppate più di 200 attività culturali, musicali e ludiche, movimentando nella città di Barcellona circa 1,5 milioni di persone. Uno degli eventi imperdibili sono state le proiezioni di video mapping, sulla facciata dell’Ajuntament e del Parlament, su tutte quella di Franc Aleu, che ha messo in scena un viaggio virtuale che dal fondo del mare, passando per la terra fino alla luna, come omaggio a George Méliès, regista, illusionista e attore francese.

If someone who particularly loves the movida spiced by a good amount of tradition should wonder about the best time to visit Barcelona, there would no longer be any doubts about the reply: in September during the celebrations of the Mercé. It has been a traditional celebration since 1871, and in this latest edition it has developed more than 200 cultural, musical and recreational activities, livening the town up with about 1,5 million people. One of the events not-to-be-missed has been the video mapping projection on the facade of the Ajuntament and of the Parlament, especially the one by Franc Aleu, that put up a virtual trip from the seabed going past the Earth up to the Moon, as paying tribute to George Méliès, director, illusionist and French actor.
