Così inizia la storia dell’inglese Curious Chocolate, quando tra vecchi blocchi tipografici nacque l’idea capace di distinguere questa cioccolata dalle altre.  Il ricordo di quell’affascinante esperienza è stato elaborato in un progetto di packaging  strettamente connesso al mondo delle lettere: gli involucri sembrano pagine strappate da quaderni, con le righe di margine ancora in evidenza, e i testi paiono usciti da un’arrugginita macchina da scrivere. Un connubio davvero tentatore, quello di Curious Chocolate, che unisce alla rinomata bontà del cioccolato una grafica piacevolmente elementare.

“Everything came from love for good chocolate and from a journey to Amsterdam, with a visit in an old typography workshop”.
So, the story of the English Curious Chocolate starts when an idea grew up among old typographic blocks and it was able to distinguish this chocolate from the others. Memory of that fascinating experience has been elaborated in a project of packaging that is strictly connected to the world of letters: the outsides seem pages wrested from workbooks, with margin lines that are still evident and texts that seem written by an old typewriter.
Curious Chocolate, an union that tempts, links to the famous goodness of chocolate a nicely elementary graphic, too.

This is the right collaboration for all the lovers of “cult” films and streetculture. I remember like it was yesterday, it was 1995 when I saw “Boyz the hood” and in the headphones it was the time of rap made in USA. I remember that I pushed in the VHS that somebody had lent me and when the tape was rewind (some years ago people did so), ready go, shoots, rap music and ghetto life, all that I wanted in that moment. In that film there was also “Ice Cube”, so I was really ecstatic. Really the film was released in 1991 so I was a little late, but I remember that it was anyway the best for me. At any rate, each “Starter” has decided to dedicate to this film a capsule collection that is not so bad. This things are already on the shelves, in fact they were released about two months ago, but I wanted to talk about because they are worth. Let’s taste the gallery…

Chérie’s Flakes, attraverso questo nuovo video, racconta una giornata d’estate fatta di giochi in giardino e passeggiate in antichi borghi, spazi ricchi di profumi e fragranze con fiori di campo. Questa collezione fa sentire parte della natura, giocando con incroci e volumi leggeri dati grazie alla morbida viscosa. I dettagli in oro 24k donano alla pelle punti di luce. Minimo comun denominatore? le cuciture a zig e zag che richiamano il taglio a vivo dei costumi.

Il video è ambientato a Villa Giulia, villa del 1901 nelle Langhe, e scattato da Adrianna Glaviano e ha come soundtrack un pezzo originale dei Dumbo gets Mad.

These are the key words that accompany the video of the new collection Summer 2013 Cherie’s Flakes. A collection of costumes for her and him that takes you back away from city chaos to the nature. Chérie’s Flakes, in the new video, narrate a summer day in the gardens playing games and walking along ancient villages, areas rich in scents and fragrances like wildflowers. This collection make you feel part of nature, playing with intersections and light volumes from soft viscose. details dipped in 24K gold gives to the skin precious highlights. Lowest common denominator? zig-zag seams that recall the raw cut of the costumes. The video is set at Villa Giulia, villa of 1901 in the Langhe, and took from Adrianna Glaviano and soundtrack as an original piece of Dumbo gets Mad.

Quello che conta è che possa entrare di diritto in questa rubrica per come si esprime, con colori tenui e forme pulite, ma soprattutto per soluzioni visive che colpiscono per come sanno essere spontanee ed efficaci. Ben, facci sapere qualcosa di più, intanto ti seguiamo da qui.

Preparazione

Sbattete le due uova, salate e pepate leggermente e cuocete la frittata che dovrà risultare molto sottile.
Prendete il petto di pollo e con l’aiuto di un coltello affilato e di un batticarne cercate di aprirlo e stenderlo il più possibile, fino ad ottenere una sorta di grande bistecca.

Insaporite e massaggiate la carne con sale grosso, un po’ di pepe e le erbe aromatiche tritate. Praticate delle piccole incisioni al centro nel senso in cui il pezzo di carne risulta più lungo e disponete qui gli asparagi, stendeteci sopra la frittata e arrotolate poi il tutto, legando l’arrotolato con uno spago da cucina.
Rosolatelo in una padella antiaderente con un po’ d’olio, per sigillare bene la carne, sfumate poi con il vino bianco. Tenete da parte il sughetto che si è creato durante questa fase.

Prendete il rotolo, togliete lo spago e avvolgete intorno le fette di bacon. Infornatelo poi per 1 ora a 180 C°.
Terminata la cottura in forno, lasciatelo raffreddare un po’, tagliatelo a fette e riposizionatele nella teglia versando sopra il sughetto messo da parte. Infornate per altri 10 minuti a 200 C° per fare dorare il tutto.

This time we stay in Italy with In-es artdesign, that is the union between art and design and between (in)side and (out)side. We do it watching simple lines, with just round profiles, for a soft and hospitable setting. The collection of lamps by Matt contains three lines, everyone just handmade: Lavagna, Cemento and Nebula. They are realized with different materials, but they are united because they are able to transmit touching sensations and they let you feel the atmosphere. In particular, it’s Lavagna that immediately attracts our sympathy, because it is realized for evocating positive images, for pinning up sketches, ideas, thoughts and extemporaneous draws. In fact, you can write, cancel or rewrite on its surface like it was a real blackboard. A playful idea that let you communicate coded messages with your roommates.

Questa nuova collaborazione prende il nome di “summer journey”, scarpa concepita per un’estate hype, design basicone, possibilità di usarla con e senza lacci, ma il particolare che noterete sicuramente è il bottone rosso, oltre allo smile sulla punta, che serve per permettervi di togliere le scarpe, comodamente, senza slacciarle.
