Parola d’ordine: rimboccarsi le maniche e darsi da fare, rigorosamente insieme! Da quando ha 13 anni lavora nella rosticceria di famiglia, dove impara a cucinare e a fare la pasta fresca. Nel frattempo studia Ragioneria anche se non si sente adatta ai numeri. Ama la moda e lo shopping, in particolare adora lo stile retrò. Iniziare presto a lavorare le permette di viaggiare e ogni volta che visita città come Londra, Parigi, Madrid rientra con valigie piene di abiti e accessori. Sempre attenta a spendere il giusto, impara a riconoscere la qualità dei tessuti e dei modelli, e soprattutto a cucire. La passione è cosi forte che ben presto decide di allestire nel garage di casa un vintage shop. Si sparge la voce e sempre più gente passa nel negozio spontaneamente. Vuole approfondire questa innata passione e crede che trasferirsi a Londra per un periodo la potrebbe aiutare. Biglietto in mano qualcosa cambia. Cammina per le vie del centro di Senigallia e trova lo spazio perfetto per realizzare il suo sogno: non parte più e da vita a “C’era una volta M²”. Per un mese vive nel punto vendita, che insieme a famiglia e amici ristruttura completamente. Ancora non si rende conto, ma ce l’ha fatta! Maila si divide tra la rosticceria e il vintage shop, ma ha un segreto: la sua gemella “siamese” Michela con cui condivide tutto, o quasi. / Password: roll up your sleeves and get busy, strictly together! – il tuo motto… felicità è la mia famiglia che ride! Credo nell’unione, credo nella famiglia e nei valori che mi hanno insegnato. Loro sono la mia forza.
– il tuo colore… arancione come l’energia delle persone solari e positive da cui sono attratta.
– la tua parola chiave… donare e avere fede. Non esiste un gesto migliore del donare un abbraccio e un sorriso… la fede mi accompagna in ogni mio passo.
– cosa ha fatto scattare il cambiamento… è iniziato tutto nel garage di casa, dove io e la mia adorata gemella avevamo allestito un negozio di abiti che compravamo in giro per il mondo. Il passaparola ci ha portato a conoscere tanta gente che ci ha convinto ad aprire il tanto desiderato vintage shop “C’era una volta M²”
– cosa o chi ti ha ispirato… la nostra voglia di fare! Le nostre mille idee avevano bisogno di prendere vita.
– la goccia che ha fatto traboccare il tuo vaso… camminando nelle vie del centro storico della città, insieme alla mia gemella, ci siamo trovate davanti ad un cartello “affittasi” ed è stato un colpo di fulmine. Il locale era dismesso, cadeva a pezzi, ma insieme abbiamo sentito che quello sarebbe stato il luogo per realizzare il nostro progetto.
– salto nel vuoto o nel materasso… nel vuoto totale! tutte le mie conquiste sono state guadagnate giustamente, con forza e duro lavoro. Quando investi tutta te stessa in qualcosa la soddisfazione nel vederlo realizzato è una sensazione indescrivibile.
– la crisi, opportunità o minaccia… entrambe, indubbiamente. La crisi è una minaccia economica, ci sono troppe spese da affrontare ogni mese, ma allo stesso tempo è una grande opportunità per impegnarsi e mettere in pratica idee innovative, che magari in un periodo migliore a nessuno sarebbero venute in mente. Se si riesce ad andare avanti in un momento cosi instabile, non ci ferma più nessuno!
– presente e passato: il tuo prima e il tuo adesso… il passato mi ha resa forte, mi ha insegnato a non piangermi addosso e a rimboccarmi le maniche nei momenti più difficili. Il presente? è fantastico!
– progetti futuri…tanti! tra questi il prossimo progetto in cui incanalare le energie è una linea di abbigliamento di nostra produzione. Spero di riuscire presto a realizzarla!

– your key word… donate and have faith. There is no better gesture of giving a hug and a smile … faith with me in my every step.
– what triggered the change… it all started in the garage of the house, where I and my beloved twin sister had set up shop of clothes we bought around the world. Word of mouth has brought us to know so many people who convinced us to open the much-desired vintage shop “Once upon a time M²”
– what or who inspired you… our desire to do! Our thousands of ideas needed to come to life.
– what was the straw that broke the camel’s back… walking in the streets of the historic center of the city, along with my sister, we found ourselves in front of a sign “for rent” and it was love at first sight. The place was abandoned, falling apart, but together we felt that this would be the place to carry out our project.
– jumping into a void or a mattress… in the total void! all my achievements were gained rightly, with strength and hard work. When you invest your whole self into something satisfaction in seeing him made is an indescribable feeling.
– the crisis: opportunity or threat… both, no doubt. The crisis is an economic threat, there are too many expenses to deal with each month, but at the same time is a great opportunity to engage and implement innovative ideas that maybe at a better time anyone would come to mind.
