La scorsa settimana Berlino ha ospitato “The Gonz 15 Years of adidas Exhibition and Film Premiere”, mostra per onorare Mark Gonzales, skateboarder tra i più influenti e storici sotto il marchio Adidas, e i suoi 15 anni con ai piedi le tre strisce.
In occasione di questo speciale anniversario, adidas skateboarding ha riunito sei fotografi di primo piano e tre filmaker che hanno avuto la fortuna di poter testimoniare il suo modo di skeitare così unico negli ultimi 15 anni.
Gabe Morford, Joe Brook, Pelle Phillips, Brian Gaberman, Benjamin Deberdt e Sem Rubio raccontano la storia di Mark attraverso le loro lenti insieme a Eric Noren, Dan Wolfe e Torsten Frank, che condividono i loro momenti nel film retrospettiva.
La Gebr.Quakatz gallery a Kreutzberg è stata invasa da ospiti che sono venuti a rendere omaggio alla leggenda dello skateboard Gonz. Dalle 20:00, con la prima del film, le persone cresciute guardando skeitare il Gonz avevano le lacrime agli occhi, ma le emozioni sono tornate rapidamente alla normalità, tutti rilassati a scherzare e con il Gonz che intratteneva gli ospiti. “Quando tutti gli elementi sono allineati, alcune notti non sono solo un’altra notte. Last week Berlin hosted the The Gonz 15 Years of adidas Exhibition and Film Premiere to honor the most influential skateboarder of all time, Mark Gonzales as he celebrates 15 years with adidas.
To mark this special anniversary, adidas skateboarding brought together six prominent photographers and three iconic filmers who have been fortunate to have watched Mark and witnessed his skateboarding antics over that past 15 years. Gabe Morford, Joe Brook, Skin Phillips, Brian Gaberman, Benjamin Deberdt and Sem Rubio tell Mark’s story through their lenses along with Eric Noren, Dan Wolfe, and Torsten Frank, who share their Gonz moments in the Retrospective film.
The Gebr.Quakatz galley in Kreutzberg was taken over by specially invited guests who came to pay homage to the living legend. At 8pm the movie premiere is said to have brought tears to grown men’s eyes, but emotions were quickly back to normal as everyone relaxed into the evenings antics, tested out the Gonz taco truck and in general pretty much had an awesome time.
