Floral Crowns by Rock N’ Rose

0

Once prerogative of hippies, country chic weddings and fantasy gatherings, flower crowns have been brought back to a new life thanks to Lana Del Rey, who has been able to eliminate that sort of  rural flair and reinvent them with a bright new nostalgic and retrò allure. Flower crowns and headbands have turned into must have accessories for the whole 2012 and also this year,   wore by celebrities on red carpets, fashion bloggers at the coolest festivals, such as Coachella, and proposed by fashion designers as spring accessories. For this summer, they represent a good alternative to turn a simple one-color bikini or full-piece swimsuit into a perfect outfit for a cocktail at the beach or an Instagram shooting. I suggest you take a look at the beautiful models of  UK website Rock N’ Rose: there are so many colors, and sizes, from the headbands with daisies, to rose explosions. However, if you’re not prepared to spend around forty crowns for a crown, you can spend some time googling or on YouTube and you’ll find loads of tutorials and DIY posts to create your own low cost unique headband. I wanna finish this article remembering that before Lana Del Rey, Frida Kahlo used to decorate her hair with big colorful flowers, a way – together with maxi-skirts and a ton of golden rings at the fingers, to celebrate the traditional style of her beloved Mexico.
