Il gruppo Fiat é conosciuto ai più per la realizzazione di automobili che hanno attraversato e caratterizzato la storia del bel paese ma non solo, sapendo a volte creare delle icone davvero uniche come la 500, capace di essere qualcosa di più di una semplice automobile ma un oggetto di design incredibile. Nel contesto della “FIAT 500 Design Collection” si colloca la nuova collaborazione tra Fiat e Smeg, altra eccellenza italiana, in cui il vano motore di una 500 anziché andare in ebollizione rinfrescherà le vostre bibite.
Ma tale collaborazione non é propriamente nuova perché già negli anni Cinquanta, le due eccellenze del Made in Italy si erano già incontrate: erano gli anni della motorizzazione di massa e dello sviluppo degli elettrodomestici “bianchi” e, con la preziosa collaborazione di Smeg, Fiat produceva anche frigoriferi. “La sfida che Smeg e Fiat hanno saputo cogliere, assieme a Italia Independent – commenta Vittorio Bertazzoni, amministratore delegato di Smeg – nel creare lo Smeg500 è per me, innanzitutto, motivo di orgoglio personale. Questo progetto, che ho fortemente voluto, rende onore alla memoria di mio nonno: quando fondò Smeg nell’immediato dopoguerra, una delle primissime collaborazioni fu su frigoriferi Fiat. Inoltre, questa partnership testimonia la nostra vocazione a mettere al servizio della creatività, l’alta competenza industriale caratteristica del Made in Italy, attraverso uno dei suoi oggetti simbolo”. Storie che si incrociano e si rinnovano nel tempo e quale occasione migliore di sfoggiare tanto Made in Italy se non presentandolo, lo scorso 30 Maggio, in terra francese da Colette? L’Italianità si sa va coltivata e possibilmente incentivata.
