Dopo il grande successo alla Fashion Week di Amsterdam nel 2012, Rebecca Ward ripropone per l’edizione 2013 una nuova linea: PALINOPSIA.
Una linea che rappresenta l’insieme dei disturbi del sonno che affliggono l’uomo come il sonnambulismo, sfumando i confini della realtà. Sono proprio in questi momenti tra sonno ed ore di veglia che Rebecca Ward trovò ispirazione per la sua collezione, con abiti che fluttuano tra realtà e sogno.
Pellami rigidi e tessuti delicati si intrecciano insieme per realizzare abiti al limite del surreale, attraverso i quali la giovane designer vuole suscitare forti emozioni, ma anche curiosità intellettuale. Questo è l’elemento fondamentale del lavoro di Rebecca Ward.
After a successful show in 2012, Rebecca Ward retourn to the Amsterdam Fashion Week 2013 with the PALINOPSIA collection. Palinopsia’s are a collection of disordes that disturb the sleep process such as sleepwalking and blurring the boundaries of the real and the imagined. This moments between sleep and walking hours where Rebecca found inspiration for her PALINOPSIA collection with dress between the tangible reality and psycological dream state. Rigid leather are punctured by softer to create fantastic dress between reality and dream. It is Rebecca’s strong belief that fashion designe should not just spark strong emotional responses, but also intellectual curiosity. This is the key consideration in all aspects of her work.
