Alterazioni nei quadri realizzati dall’artista tedesco (ma residente in Danimarca da diversi anni) John Reuss. Facce e corpi modificati, trattati quasi come oggetti da lanciare, rivoltare, piegare e macchiare. Al centro del suo lavoro c’è un continuo rimescolare di fisionomie, sospese in un ambiente che è sempre diverso.
Uno sfondo che è una sorta di agonia per questi caratteri, come se volessero intrappolarne le deviazioni fisiche ma anche e soprattutto mentali. Un modo di rappresentare il rapporto tra i corpi e lo spirito molto singolare, nella quale la tortura e la trasformazione sembrano scambiarsi i ruoli.
Alterations in paintings made by German artist (but resident in Denmark for several years) John Reuss. Faces and bodies changed, almost treated as objects to be run, turn, bend and stain. At the center of his work there is a continuous mix of faces, suspended in an environment that is always different. A background that is a kind of agony for these characters, as if they wanted trapped deviations physical but also mental. One way to represent the relationship between the bodies and the spirit very unique, in which the torture and transformation seem to exchange roles.
