Spesso sentiamo il peso delle avversità che ci affliggono come macigni, specie nel settore del design in cui l’innovazione viene vista come perdita di tempo. Ma non bisogna guardare al futuro con sguardo pessimistico perché, fortunatamente, siamo esseri umani capaci di reagire se stimolati e cosa c’è di più stimolante di affrontare una crisi? Non volendo divagare troppo su temi che tutti voi conoscete e riscontrate quotidianamente, quest’oggi voglio presentarvi un progetto dell’altro mondo, nel senso che é fatto in Messico, ma che ha radici italiane grazie ad uno dei suoi fondatori, in cui la creatività sarà stimolata come non mai.
NOTWASTE, fondato dal messicano Kristian Almonte e dall’italiano Attanasio Mazzone, é un brand che si occupa di arredamento legato al concept del “not wasting”. Questa idea é applicata a tutte le aree del processo di realizzazione, dal concept iniziale fino alla vendita del prodotto.
Uno degli obiettivi di NOTWASTE é di poter collaborare con i designer di tutto il mondo ed é per questo motivo che verrà presentato durante “Abierto Mexicano de Diseño” (fiera internazionale di design alla sua prima edizione), NOTWASTEMX, una serie di tre pezzi creati in collaborazione con Ricardo Casas (Clara, Poltrona e Ottoman), Jorge Diego Etienne (Console) e Christian Vivanco (Pancha, stool) tutti designer messicani. Adesso tocca a voi: scrivete, collaborate, create oggetti che sappiano essere funzionali e, nonostante le avversità, creerete un mondo migliore.

But we must not look to the future with pessimistic view because, fortunately, we are human beings capable of reacting when stimulated, and what’s more challenging to deal with a crisis? Not wanting to digress too much on issues that you all know and are experiencing every day, today i want to present a project from another world, in the sense that it is made in Mexico, but it has Italian roots thanks to one of its founders, in which creativity will be stimulated like never before. NOTWASTE , founded by the mexican Kristian Almonte and the italian designer Attanasio Mazzone , is a brand that deals with furniture tied to the concept of “not wasting “. This idea is applied to all areas of the manufacturing process, from the initial concept to the sale of the product. One of the objectives of NOTWASTE is to collaborate with designers from all over the world and it is for this reason that will be presented during “Abierto Mexicano de Diseño” ( international exhibition of design in its first edition ), NOTWASTEMX, a series of three pieces created in collaboration with Ricardo Casas (Clara, Poltrona and Ottoman), Jorge Diego Etienne (Console) and Christian Vivanco (Pancha, stool) all Mexican designers.
