Internet va acquisendo crescente importanza nella vita quotidiana delle persone, sempre più attività si svolgono online: dalla videotelefonia alla televisione ad alta definizione. Di conseguenza anche il fabbisogno di larghezze di banda aumenta vertiginosamente. Da noi questo non viene recepito creando un digital divide ancora troppo grande.
