Quella di rivisitare e adattare alcune pietre miliari della storia di grandi marchi, Nike e adidas su tutte, è un’operazione che sta dominando il mondo sneakers. Se poi aggiungiamo la necessita di adattare questi modelli storici alle necessità dello skateboarding, ci rendiamo conto quanto sia ancora più diffuso il ripristinare modelli magari già utilizzati in versione originale e ridisegnarli per migliorarne alcune caratteristiche, come la durabilità all’abrasione, l’ammortizzazione di impatti ecc.
Questa è proprio l’operazione a cui ho sottoposto 3 classici non ancora rivisitati di adidas: la Trimm Trabb, la Tech Super, e la Predator Accelerator, adattandone le caratteristiche al mondo dello skateboarding e simulando un integrazione con gli attuali materiali e tecnologie usati dal marchio tedesco per soddisfare le performance richieste dagli skater.

To revisit and adapt some milestones in the history of big brands it’s an operation that is dominating the world of sneakers, Nike and adidas of all. If we add the need to adapt these models to the necessities of skateboarding, we realize how much is still the most widely used way to redesign old models maybe already used in their original version in the past and redesign them to improve some characteristics, such as the durability to abrasion, amortization of impacts and so on. This is precisely the operation which I have submitted to 3 adidas classics revisited: the Trimm Trabb, the Tech Super, and the Predator Accelerator, adapting the features to the world of skateboarding and a simulating an integration with existing materials and technologies to meet the performance required by skaters used by the German brand.
