In April 1994 opened what would become the landmark of the skateboarding scene in New York for the next 20 years, Supreme NYC, in Lafayette St., Downtown. On the opening day were produced 2 t -shirts that went like hot cakes , one with a picture of Robert De Niro in “Taxi Driver” and a “Box Logo” . This would have predicted the future of New York skateshop, not only the success, but the direction towards fashion more than just selling hardware.
Around 2013 and 2014, the brand has experienced several changes, the opening of an online store for Europe , the release of a full-length video, the great expansion of its catchment area consisting of not only skaters but almost exclusively by fashion enthusiasts and now the collection for the twentieth anniversary.
On April 24, 2014 will be available online and in the stores of NYC, LA and London, t-shirts and tables produced by Chapman both with Box Logo Taxi Driver graphics.
