What I love in the collections of the north European fashion houses is their approach light-hearted, fun, colorful, and that strong bond with the sea. The GoodPeople, Dutch house founded in 2007, is a perfect example.
In his Spring Summer 2014 collection draws inspiration from a inconic “sailor” as Jacques Yves Cousteau.
The colors vary from pink jellyfish green seaweed, from beige suntanned to the, equally iconic, red hat, worn by the French sailor.
The bright colors have been treated with a special wash, leaving clothes with a faded look as if they had faced the rough life of the sea.
The collection proposed is a mix of casual and sport casual very pleasant and harmonious, that could also be worn by those facing as a single wave, the one “green” of the traffic lights.
