Mattia Riami ha sicuramente un approccio curioso. Perchè a una prima osservazione, non diresti che disegna magliette per Benetton. E invece di lavoro fa proprio quello.
Un segno sottile, nichilista, nervoso, con diversi rimandi a un filone molto poco mainstream del fumetto e dell’illustrazione contemporanea. Senza dubbio la frequentazione allo IED di Milano coi suoi insegnanti (Ponticelli su tutti a vedere le influenze) l’ha formato su questa strada.
Nella ricerca di uno stile sempre più personale, quello che a Mattia non manca è senza dubbio l’entusiasmo e la voglia di produrre. Se di giorno lavora, infatti, la sera e la notte continua a produrre di tutto, illustrazioni, animazioni, fumetti… così il suo blog diventa un calderone animato pronto a sfornare un piatto completo.
