Una bici che ha fatto strada è già di per se positivo giusto? Ancor di più se nasce come un’idea nel lontano 2006 e si concretizza finalmente nel 2013. Sandwichbikes venne presentata la prima volta da Basten Leijh di Bleijh industrial design studio, durante l’International Bicycle Design Competition a Taiwan per l’appunto nel 2006, con l’obiettivo di creare una bici che fosse facile da spedire e da montare.
Da allora ha percorso molta strada, con una sosta a Milano dove durante un’esibizione é stata rubata, obbligando lo studio Bleijh ha creare un nuovo prototipo e permettendo così un nuovo approccio ingegneristico. Nel 2013, a distanza di ben 7 anni, siamo giunti finalmente alla produzione in serie; ciò che potrebbe trovare comodamente spazio all’interno dell’Ikea lo potete ordinare direttamente on-line.
