Il nostro viaggio parte dal quartiere più cool di Barcellona, a pochi minuti dal mare, fra via Layetana e Parco della Ciutadella, il Born, mixa sapientemente il sapore più tradizionale dell’architettura medievale, insieme a bar, ristoranti e negozi di tendenza.
Luogo d’incontro per intellettuali e artisti, il Born fa respirare un’aria nuova ma che sa di antico. Il centro, da cui tutto si dirama è Plaza de Santa Maria, dove si trova la Chiesa gotica Santa Maria del Mar, e inizia il Paseo del Born. Qui facciamo la nostra prima tappa, all’insegna della sperimentazione fra nuovo e tradizione.
Siamo da Loisaida, concept store ricavato da un’antica fabbrica della moneta nella calle Flasseders.

Our journey starts from the coolest neighbourhood of Barcelona, few minutes far from the sea, between Calle Layetana and Ciutadella Park: El Born, expertly mixes the more traditional flavour of medieval architecture, along with bars, restaurants and trendy shops. Known as meeting place for intellectuals and artists, the Born makes breathe a new air, but with a taste of old. Place Santa Maria, is the centre from which everything branches, here there is the Gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, and the Paseo del Born starts. Here we make our first stop, with the edge of experimentation between new and traditional. We firstly visit Loisaida, a concept store housed in an old coin factory in the street Flasseders.
