Ho sempre provato un certo fascino ed un pizzico d’invidia verso gli scultori per la loro capacità di vedere oltre il semplice aspetto della materia, capaci di liberare l’essenza rinchiusa all’interno di un blocco di marmo o di legno.
Tra tutti Willy Verginer é quello che sto apprezzando maggiormente, perché alle qualità citate qui sopra si aggiunge la mitezza di un uomo che fa del suo lavoro un’arte che ti colpisce all’istante facendoti impietrire (sempre di statue si parla) per cotanta bellezza.
I’ve always felt a certain charm and a touch of envy towards the sculptors for their ability to see beyond the mere appearance of matter, capable of freeing the essence locked within a block of marble or wood. Among all Willy Verginer is what I’m enjoying most, because the qualities mentioned above is added to the mildness of a man who makes his work an art that hits you instantly making you impietrire (always talking statues) for such great beauty.
