Realizzata in materiali di qualità più elevata, la Y’s Super Position come prima e rilevante modifica vede rimossa la punta in gomma texturizzata, quella che dava il nome “Shell-Toe” a questo storico modello, la nuova punta sarà infatti realizzata in pelle, come l’intera tomaia, in scamosciato invece sarà la sede dei lacci. Altro caposaldo e marchio di fabbrica che viene rimosso dal modello “madre” sono le 3 strisce, sostituite da un filo cucito come se fosse a mano, lasciandolo addirittura sfilare abbondantemente oltre la suola.
