In un’epoca in cui, televisivamente parlando, siamo sempre più affascinati dalla storia che racchiudono gli oggetti sepolti nelle nostre cantine, c’è chi trasforma questa passione in un’attività vera e propria, non sto parlando di Italian Pickers ovviamente bensì di Mémoire, un luogo davvero unico in cui i mobili e gli oggetti di un tempo rivivono di un antico splendore.
Questa avventura inizia alcuni anni fa, quando un vecchio garage diventa deposito di mobili ed oggetti acquistati con il solo intento di raccogliere cose belle ed originali. Solo quando, casualmente, Flavia e Monica si imbattono in un vecchio capannone, a suo tempo sede del bocciodromo di Avesa (borgo a ridosso di Verona) sopraggiunge in loro il desiderio di trasformare quella che, fino a quel momento, era solo una passione condivisa, in una vera e propria attività rivolta al pubblico. E’ sulla scia di questo sentimento che decidono di dare vita ad uno spazio in cui l’antiquariato si mescola ad oggetti più recenti per acquistare, così, uno stile diverso e originale. Mémoire diventa, quindi, il luogo in cui le due amiche ogni giorno accostano sapientemente arredi e complementi che colpiscono il loro gusto e la loro immaginazione.
Diventa, infine, quasi naturale la collaborazione con Trait d’Union di Alessandra che con entusiasmo e tenacia cerca quadri di artisti emergenti e non, che bene si collocano nello spazio Mémoire. Arredi, complementi, quadri… passione e raffinatezza. Mémoire e’ tutto questo e anche di più.
