It’s been over two months since my visit to Slovenia for the project Healthy Seas, I talked about how they were recovered in fishing nets to be converted, thanks to ECONYL ®, fabric. And it is just this last step and ECONYL ® that you want to talk about. As you can see from the video, ECONYL ® rebuilds the nylon 6 material that can be recycled indefinitely, to produce a new nylon yarn that has found support and application products of major International brands. But ECONYL ® is not made up solely of fishing nets as we had seen previously with the support of Healthy Seas but, Nylon 6, is present in many materials, from fabrics to rugs themselves up, and it is here that Aquafil has managed to create a large network (excuse the pun) suitable for the recovery of what would become a waste. A better world is possible and also passes through these processes.
